The canvas and working on site in the landscape act as a portal to a personal narrative informed by the archetypes and myths in the ‘collective unconscious’. 

Painting is my expression of freedom and allowing images to evolve, I use my ideas to transform landscapes into places beyond notions of normal perception. 

My Paintings are grounded in drawing, the observed, and revisiting work many times. They are influenced by my theatrical background, and a visceral enquiry into the human/environmental relationship. All of this is within a framework of respect for, and wonder at nature’s processes, and life at all of its stages.
