Drawing at the Cathedral held at Canterbury Cathedral

Tuesday mornings from 11th October at

10.30 - 12.30 for 6 weeks - book now!

The Drawing at the Cathedral course attracts all levels of artists. Beginners come to receive a grounding in drawing and practicing artists for a new perspective, to find new subject matter and to reflect on their work.

All the participants are surprised and delighted at what they find in the Cathedral, and with what they produce (including the beginners!) and everyone takes away with them a body of work having considered a range of techniques, subjects and artists, and having had the challenge, fun and benefits of the group environment.

What the students say about 'Drawing at the Cathedral'...

Hi just to say thank you for your very informative art course. You made me question the reason for painting in certain styles, plus look at the symbolic meanings and iconic reasons, as well as thinking about deeper meanings in my art, most of my art work as been on a sub- conscious level and rather emotional level, I never thought about the reasons why I chose certain colours so now I take a fresh look at the palettes I chose another thing you made me think about very informative course. Many thanks and I hope to join another course!

'Your passion was infectious and inspiring and the tuition was generous and clear.'

Now I realise this is a lot to live up to ... but come along and see what you find in the Cathedral and how you interpret that through your own creative process.

This course is now in its 5th year and it is always very exciting to see the Cathedral through the eyes of others especially in a group environment.
